
Happy Self-care Sunday everyone! 💗🙏

I really need to update my blog more frequently. However I've had a tough time recently and have been grieving the loss of two of my beloved family members.
During this time it's especially important to practise self-care. Mine has been made up of:
• Sleep
• Rest
• Eating to keep energy up (including lots of veggies as I tend to get sick when I'm feeling low)
• Saying no when I don't feel up to socialising
• Talking through my feelings
• Crying (yes it sounds silly, but honestly letting out your emotions can lift such a weight and really helps you to process the loss)
• Fresh air and moving as much as possible
• Getting my house tasks done really gave me comfort in knowing I'm being as organised as I can be
Sunday self care usually consists of a proper skincare routine and maybe a cheeky little mask if I have the time. Tonight I will undoubtedly be doing this, I have a busy week at work and honestly I just feel so much better knowing I've done my upmost for my skin and therefore my confidence, kind of like a reset for the week.
Be proud of anything you can get done whilst your struggling inside. My lovely uncle once said to me "You've got this Soph. A little step makes a big one" - never be hard on yourself if you can't achieve as much as you wanted, some days even getting up and showered can be challenging.
Anyway, I really hope that whatever you're doing today on this self care Sunday, that it's relaxing and brings you peace and some happiness xxxxx
